Scrivener Presents: Music to Watch Plants By Workshop For Students

  • The Bowery 54 Otley Road Leeds, England, LS6 2AL United Kingdom (map)

Calling all Leeds students!

The godsend that is the Scrivener writing tool - a ring-binder, a scrapbook, a corkboard, an outliner and text editor all rolled into one - is helping students to keep everything together in exam and dissertation time by programming a series of six events moving across Manchester, Leeds and London.

Take some time away from books and screens and come and chill out to the sounds of mellow beats and the sights of uplifting plants 1st May at The Bowery, Headingley / 6-8pm.

Join us for a workshop led by botanical studio, The Plant Room and textile artist Laura Slater accompanied by a soundtrack mixed live by Carlo Viscoe

6pm arrival

We will create a space with a botanical still life to help inspire creativity and wellbeing, enabling you to switch off and realign for an evening.

The workshop session will include a series of simple tasks designed to explore the creative processes in drawing, mark making and collage. Without a definitive artistic outcome we create space for participants to explore creativity without any pressures.

The workshop is a mixed level group and is for everyone. You don’t need to bring anything with you, as all materials needed for the session will be provided.
